Features of the holidays in Italy

When planning to travel to any country, tourists want to know as much as possible about it, about its most interesting places, sights that you can’t miss and, of course, about the way of life, about the disposition of local residents and about holidays and the way they celebrate it.

Those who are used to traveling on their own and sightseeing without a guide and tour groups can rent a car in Italy at a rental office and not depend on anyone. Renting a car in Rome will cost an average of 20 euros per day, in Milan from 18 euros per day.

This is especially true when it comes to permanent residence in the country. Italy is one of those countries where traditions are honored with pleasure and holidays are loved. Moreover, the locals themselves often say that they have holidays every day.

There is some truth in these words, because if not in all corners of the country, then certainly in some of the towns there will be a festival or some kind of festive procession. It is worth noting that Italy is an amazing country with masquerades, incredible carnivals and noisy festivities.

Holidays in this country are divided into religious and civil. It turns out that many holidays in this country were canceled in the last century. For example, in the seventies, local residents said goodbye to the celebration of St. Giuseppe's Day, as well as the Day of St. Peter and Paul. At the same time, some holidays were moved from weekdays to weekends.

Without exaggeration, the Venice Carnival can be called one of the most grandiose events in the whole country. Moreover, it is called one of the oldest carnivals on the planet.

Every year, thousands of tourists come to Venice to see the amazing event with their own eyes. Often such a carnival lasts no more than two hours. The beginning always depends on the start date of the Catholic Lent. The carnival ends on Wednesday of the first week of the Catholic Lent.

Without exaggeration, the carnival in the city on the water is an incredible event that many tourists from all over the world dream of seeing. This holiday has its own traditions and history.

There were always mass festivities during this holiday. One of the features of the carnival is that it was on this day that slaves could sit at the same table with the owners themselves.
