We examined the ruins of Hadrian's library (at the expense of tickets purchased when climbing the Acropolis), and then, going to the second street on the left along the Ares lane, you get to the ruins of the Roman Agora, where you are allowed on the same tickets.
Those who like to travel by car usually book their car in Greece online in advance. In Athens, renting a compact car will cost from 16 euros per day, and in Heraklion a little more - from 21 euros per day. Prices may vary depending on the season, car class and rental period.

Since ancient Athens was quite large and existed for a long time, here, wherever you dig, there are hewn marble slabs, the remains of buildings, fragments of columns, gutters for water flow are neatly carved on the ancient pavement. Above it all rise the walls of the Acropolis. Its view is completely impregnable, the cliff is very steep, additional walls with buttresses have been completed.
The market in Greece has everything!

In sculpture, the Greeks achieved the greatest success, the figures are distinguished by the perfection of forms, the faces - by dynamics and realism, they are very emotional and give us great aesthetic pleasure. Ancient Greek models, obviously, did not have to resort to the tricks of modernity and, at best, they painted their eyebrows with paint. However, back to modern Greece.
On the same day, on the street around the corner from our hotel leading to the tavern, a Greek bazaar was held - they brought fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, fish in ice. The bazaar is characterized by a very loud noise, which was made by both sellers and buyers - one can feel the impulsive southern people.

The prices are as follows, in euros: freshly picked, very tasty oranges - 0.69; tomatoes - 0.5-1.0; flat peaches – 0.69; round peaches, depending on size and variety - 0.99-1.99; pears - 0.6-1.0; peppers, eggplants, onions - 1.0; green string beans - 1.5; excellent grapes - 0.5. The people left the market loaded with full bags of vegetables and fruits. As for us, we bought oranges and apples, which we could hardly find at a price of 1.29. We had dinner in a restaurant on Plaka: marinated octopuses with oil and wine vinegar - 9.1 euros; moussaka (casserole of tender mashed potatoes, and the filling is ground meat with eggplant, greens and tomatoes).
