Austrian Stubai Valley: a fun kingdom of snow for tourists and sportsmen

Near Tyrol capital, Innsbruck city, lies the picturesque Stubai Valley, which is the largest glacier in Austria. There are many popular ski resorts here: Schoenberg, Mieders, Telfes, Fulpmes and Neustief.

The tourist season here lasts from October to June. Stubai offers skiers 35 well-prepared slopes and 26 modern lifts. The longest descent is 10 km. For fans of freeride and freestyle, there are 15 km of perfectly groomed trails. From the upper station of the Wildspitze mountain (3210 m) a special route for experienced skiers starts. From here you have a stunning view of the valley, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Thrill-seekers can go down the black track with a maximum slope of 60%. Unforgettable emotions promises to ride on 6 toboggan runs.

The resorts of this region are focused primarily on family holidays. There are several ski camps with kindergartens, children's restaurants, playgrounds and children's ski schools. Well-trained staff will look after the children while their moms and dads enjoy the chic slopes. Children under 10 ride the lifts for free.

Children also receive free ski equipment if parents rent it for themselves. Little athletes will have a lot of fun in children's parks, where jumps, simple obstacles and turns are specially created for them. Along the family trails there are figures of your favorite cartoon characters.

In the resorts of the Stubai Valley, various holidays, entertainment events, parties, sports competitions and gastronomic evenings are constantly organized. At farmers' fairs, you can buy natural local products. Stubai looks especially magical and fun at Christmas.
